Privacy and cookies

This notice explains which personal data the website www.astaghban.com processes, why and for how long, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003. In short: the site has no forms, uses no profiling cookies, loads no third-party services and needs no consent to be browsed. The Italian version of this notice prevails.

Browsing data

Like any website, the server hosting it automatically records some technical data about requests: IP address, date and time, requested page, response status, browser and operating system. This data is used only to run the site, protect it from abuse and investigate faults; it is not used to identify visitors or combined with other data.

The site is hosted by Aruba S.p.A., in Italy, which processes this data as a data processor. Logs are kept for the period set by the hosting service, unless needed to investigate computer crimes.

Cookies and browser storage

The public pages of the site use no cookies. Only two preferences are saved in the browser, and only when the visitor sets them:

  • astaghban-tema: the light or dark theme chosen with the button at the top;
  • astaghban-avviso: the fact that the notice about this policy has been closed.

The staff-only area uses a technical session cookie (astaghban_gestione), needed to sign in, which expires when the browser is closed or after two hours of inactivity.

These are all technical tools needed to provide a service the visitor asked for: under Italian law and the Italian Data Protection Authority guidelines of 10 June 2021 they need no consent. There are no profiling, analytics or advertising cookies, and no third-party cookies. You can delete them at any time from your browser settings.

External services

The site embeds no third-party content: fonts are hosted on the site itself and there is no embedded map. The "Open the map" button takes you to Google Maps: from then on you are on Google's website, which processes data under its own policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

Direct contact

If you call or write to the restaurant, the data you give us (number, name, message) is used only to reply and to handle your booking, and kept for as long as needed, unless the law requires otherwise.

Purposes and legal bases

  • running and protecting the site: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
  • replying to requests and handling bookings: steps taken at the request of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
  • complying with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Recipients and transfers

Data may be processed by the hosting provider, appointed as data processor (Art. 28 GDPR), and disclosed to the authorities when required by law. It is not published or transferred outside the European Economic Area.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a readable format (Arts. 15-22 GDPR), by writing to info@lido18srl.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Changes

This notice may be updated; the version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date of the last update.
